Mrs. Marian Christine Douglas, age 78, of Savannah, GA. passed peacefully at her family home in Ellabell, GA. on Monday morning, January 10, 2022 after an extended illness, under the care of Hospice Savannah. She was a Bryan County native. She resided in New York for many years before returning back to Georgia.
She was a 1962 graduate of Pembroke High School. She was a graduate of the University of the State of New York, with a degree in Nursing.
She retired from Georgia Regional Hospital in Savannah, GA., where she was employed as a registered nurse.
She is survived by her sisters, Betty Baker (Howard) Long of Smyrna, GA., Marie (James) Hicks of Fayetteville, GA., and Juanita Baker Heard of Jacksonville, FL.; a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 11:00AM at Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home Pembroke Chapel, 66 Ledford Street, Pembroke, GA. 31321. Pastor James Hicks, Jr., Eulogist.
Interment will be at Boyd’s Temple Cemetery, 236 Mill Creek Church Rd, Ellabell, GA 31308.
