With sadness and compassion, Craig R. Tremble Funeral Homes, Inc, Statesboro Chapel, along with the Jonas Family of Statesboro, Ga., announce the passing of Mrs. Janie Jonas.
Mrs. Janie Jonas, age 69, passed away at Landmark Hospital in Savannah, Ga. She was a native of Jacksonville, Fla. but resided in Statesboro for the past 11 years. She was a member of Scarboro Grove Baptist Church in Portal, Ga.
She is survived by her children; Chantelle Bowe of Metter, Ga., Rev. Grant (Kristell) Turner of Statesboro, Ga. and Charles Bowe of Atlanta, Ga.; her sister, Rose Stevens of Lantana, Fla.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A walk-through viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 from 3:00pm -7:00pm, and visitation with the family will be from 6:00pm -7:00pm in the Statesboro Chapel of Craig R. Tremble Funeral Homes, Inc.
A celebration of life service will be held graveside on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 11:00 AM, at Scarboro Grove Baptist Church, 660 CI Woods Road, Portal, GA 30450. Reverend Grant Turner will be the eulogist.
Due to COVID-19, we will adhere to social distancing and we are requiring that a mask be worn if you plan to attend the walk-through viewing or the graveside celebration of life service.
