Mr. Nathaniel Perkins

May 1, 1954 ~ February 6, 2022 (age 67)

Obituary

On Sunday February 6, 2022 Nathaniel "Shine" "Pee Wee" Perkins passed away.

Shine was just a generous, genuine and easygoing soul who will be greatly missed. From his funny stories and jokes to his loving devotion to his family and friends Shine was wonderful. Among the list of things Shine loved were children, his church, dancing and good meals, especially when he was eating with his family! Shine waved "hello" at everyone he saw whether he knew them or not. Shine constantly reassured his family that he loved them.

Shine was born May 1, 1954 to Glinnis Perkins and Nathaniel Mikell .

Shine is survived by his loving mother, Glinnis Pierce and siblings: Alexander (Norma) Pierce, Gleneria (Joseph) Stoney, and Johnny (Terra) Pierce.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Mattie Sue and Jesse Perkins, his uncles: Burnice (Verneta) Perkins, Melvin (Annie Will) Perkins, Emory Perkins, Jesse (Margaret) Perkins and George (Mae Ethel) Perkins and one aunt Shirley (Rubin) Mikell.

Surviving uncles are JW. (Gloria) Perkins, Ivory (Annette) Perkins, James Edward Perkins.

His surviving aunts are Geraldine (Thomas) Robinson, Annette (Graylon) Denson,  Delores Jackson, Ada Williams, Shelby Jean Pierce, Willie M. (Fedy) Perkins-Arscott and Mary Alice (Ace) Hardy.

His aunts and uncles were all like brothers and sisters to him.

He is also survived by three great aunts: Carrie Lee Rolle, Gertude Perkins, Gladys Whitfield.

He has a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins who were all very special to him.

We will all miss Shine.
