Mrs. Linda Lovett, age 53, passed on Friday August 10th at East Georgia Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. She was a Bulloch County native and was employed with Briggs & Straton until her health failed. She was a 1983 graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School. She was a member of the Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church of Groveland, Ga.
She is survived by her husband Mr. Carl Lovett of Statesboro, Ga.; her loving children Mrs. Dana (Bill) Mills of Brooklet, Ga., Mr. Kirk (Ashley) Lovett of Statesboro, Ga., Mr. Reginald Smith of Elizabethtowns, Ky, and Ms. La Toya B. Smith of Owings Mills, MD.;.; her loving grandchildren D'Angelo Mills, Te'Yonna Mills, and Aliyah Mills all of Brooklet, Ga., Journey Lovett and Kennedy Lovett both of Statesboro, Ga.; a loving mother Mrs. Viola Johnson of Nevils, Ga.; and a loving father Mr. Burnice (Jeanette) Johnson of Nevils, Ga.; her loving siblings Bernestine Johnson, Tracy (Christina) Johnson, and Darian (Beverly) Johnson all of Nevils, Ga., Kimmley (Melanie) Johnson, Latrese (Jerry) Mikell, Jemena (Hayward) Fields, and Aundra Johnson all of Statesboro, Ga., and Stephanie (Wayne) Hines of Pembroke, Ga.; her loving brother-in-laws George (Edna) Lovett, Leon Wallace, Freddie Wallace, and Joe Wallace; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Home Going Celebration for Mrs. Linda Lovett will be held Saturday August 18, 2018 at 11am at the Body of Christ Assembly, Brians Court Road, Statesboro, Ga., with Minister Derrick Solomon, Presiding, the Rev. Victor Brewton, Eulogist, and the Rev. Samuel Watkins, Pastor. Interment will be held in the Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Groveland, Ga.
