Deacon Lee Andrew Culver, age 63, was called to his heavenly home on Tuesday October 2, 2018 at his home in Decatur, Ga. He was a Screven County native. He was born on September 8, 1955 to Roosevelt and Maud Culver; the fourth born of five children.
He graduated from Screven County High School in 1973. He was a member of the United States Army for three years. He was employed with Bell South which later became AT&T for 31 years as a Communications Technician. Lee received training in several fields and completed training at Atlanta Area Technical School to become a licensed Heating & Air Conditioning, Electrical and Refrigeration Contractor and ultimately state certified HVAC Contractor. He started a business as sole proprietor of A&A Contracting, LLC. He was a member of the Simmons Branch Baptist Church of Sylvannia, Ga.; where he served as an Assistant Chairman of the Deacon Board and Chairman of the Board of Trustees. He was a mason with Western Star Lodge #65 of Sylvania, Ga.
He is survived by a loving son Bryan Andrew(Kimberly) Culver of Union City, Ga.; a loving daughter Amber Melissa Culver of Riverdale, Ga.,; a loving father Mr. Roosevelt Culver of Sylvania, Ga.; a loving sister Lanetta Rose Culver of Jonesboro, Ga.,; his loving brothers Earl Benny(Aleon) Culver of Hephzibah, Ga., and Harry Ezell(Joyce) Culver of Sylvania, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Family and friends visitations will be held Friday October 5, 2018 from 7-8pm in the chapel of Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel.
Home Going Celebration for Deacon Lee Andrew Culver will be held Saturday October 6, 2018 at 12pm at The City of Victory Church, 126 DevDhara Dr., Sylvania, Ga., with the Rev. Joe Herrington, Officiating, and the Pastor Nicole Peeples, Pastor. Interment will be held in Simmons Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, Sylvania, Ga.
Deacon Lee Andrew Culver will lie-in-state from 11am until funeral hour. There will be no viewing after eulogy.
Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
