I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him.  Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.  Romans 15:13 (NLT)

She was born to the late Bernest and Annie Mae Walker in Bulloch County, Georgia. She was educated in the Bulloch County school system. She was a 1969 graduate of Statesboro High School.

At an early age, she joined Miller Grove Baptist Church where she used her beautiful voice in the junior choir.  She was a faithful deaconess and served on the committee that initiated the Veteran's Day program and the finance committee.  She was dedicated to her ministry work.

During her membership she served as Worthy Matron and as a member of the Grand Choir.

She joined in holy matrimony with Johnny Rawls in July 1973. One child was born to this union.  She moved from Bulloch County in 1979 to join her husband in Germany and they returned to Lawton, Oklahoma in January 1982.  The family moved to Grovetown, GA in September 2000 where she resided until her death.

She retired from the Electric Public Services Company in Lawton, Oklahoma and Delta Air Lines in Augusta, GA. After retirement she worked as a part-time bus driver in Grovetown, GA.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
