Deacon Hosea William Sr., age 86, passed peacefully with his family at his bedside on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, under the professional care of Regency Hospice. He was a native of Candler County, but resided in Bulloch County for many years. He retired from the ITT Grinell Cooperation as a machine operator after many years of service and he was briefly employed with Georgia Southern University.
Mr. Williams was a faithful member of the Historical First African Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was a member of John Wesley Lodge #161.
He is survived by his wife Mrs. Cora Williams of Statesboro, Ga., son Mr. Hosea Williams Jr., of Statesboro, Ga.; a sister Mrs. Lillie Ann McCormick of Charlotte, NC., and a host of other relatives and friends.
A walk-through viewing will be held on Friday, July 17, 2020, from 3-6 pm at Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro chapel.
Gravesides service will take place on Saturday, July 18, 2020, in Bulloch Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Statesboro, Ga., at 1 pm with the Rev. Craig R. Tremble, eulogist.
