Darnita Renee (McCall) Stewart

Darnita Renee Stewart was born to Mrs. Dorothy McCall and the late Mr. Matthew "M.C." McCall on January 22, 1962. At an early age, she was baptized as a member of Dixon Branch Missionary Baptist Church.

She was a 1980 graduate of Screven County High School. Darnita began a lifelong career as a CNA at Syl-View Health Care Center in November of 1987. She worked there for almost 30 years. Darnita was best known for her compassionate spirit and her caring-nature for others.

On Saturday, March 16, 2019 at East Georgia Regional Hospital in Statesboro, Ga., Darnita transitioned from labor to reward. She was proceeded in death by her father, Matthew "M.C." McCall. She leaves to cherish her precious memories her mother Dorothy McCall of Sylvania, Ga.; a loving and devoted son Javoris (Santresa) McCall of Sylvania, Ga.; six precious grandchildren Aniya, Dazmen, Cameron, Maleek, NaKeim, and Kali all of Sylvania, Ga.; two brothers Calvin (Sharone) Butler of Waldorf, MD. and Curtis (Beatrice) McCall of Savannah, Ga.; five sisters Patricia (Charles) Wilkins, Phyllis Black, Barbara (Gary) Clark, Yolanda Jenkins all of Sylvania, Ga., and Yevette (Cliff) Young of Portal, Ga.; an aunt Vernell Culver of Savannah, Ga.; an uncle Randy (Mary) Broomfield of Sandersville, Ga.; three god brothers Raleigh (Mable) Cail, Jr., Ronald (Mattie) Cail, Sr., and Randy Cail all of Sylvania, Ga.; two special cousins Ida Daughtry and Ileen Bradley-Adams both of Sylvania, Ga.; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Family and friends visitations will be held Friday March 22, 2019 from 6-8pm at the Dixon Branch Missionary Baptist Church, 4120 Scarboro Hwy., Rocky Ford, Ga.

Home Going Celebration for Mrs. Darnita Stewart will be held Saturday March 23, 2019 at 11am at the Dixon Branch Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Eric Cooper, Presiding, the Rev. Terrance Thomas, Eulogist, and the Rev. Perry Cooper, Pastor. Interment will be held in the Horse Creek Church Cemetery, Woodcliff, Ga.

Mrs. Darnita Stewart will lie-in-state from 10am until funeral hour. There will be no viewing after eulogy.
