Mrs. Yolanda Polk Smith, age 34, passed on Friday September 23rd in Covington, Ga. She was a Bulloch County native but resided in Covington, Ga. She attended Statesboro High School and Ogeechee Technical College. She is survived by her husband Stacey Smith of Statesboro, Ga.; three daughters Rolanda Polk, Staciona Smith, and Rochonda Smith all of Covington, Ga.; her parents Mrs. Rose(Julius) Travis of Atlanta, Ga., and Mr. Frank Polk Sr. of Valdosta, Ga.; a sister Ms. Franchondia Polk of Atlanta, Ga.; two brothers Mr. Antonio Polk of Atlanta, Ga., and Mr. Frank Polk Jr. of Portal, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday October 1, 2011 at 1pm at Hodges Grove Baptist Church, Miller Street Extension, Statesboro, Ga., with Pastor John Harmon, officiating. Interment will be held in Summer Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Clito Road, Statesboro, Ga. Family visitations will be Friday September 30, 2011 from 7-8pm at Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel.
