Pastor Willie Albert Rawls, age 64, passed away Tuesday evening July 19th at Ogeechee Area Hospice after a brief illness. He was a Bulloch County native. He was employed with Briggs & Stratton Corporation and also a farmer. He was a 1964 graduate of Pembroke High School of Pembroke, Ga., and was a Veteran in the United States Army serving for 2 years. He was the Pastor of Holy Divine Trinity Temple Church of Pembroke, Ga. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Joann Rawls of Pembroke, Ga.; three daughters Anne M. Johnson(Gary) of Pembroke, Ga., Jonie R. Chavers(Victor) of Statesboro, Ga., and Asha E. Rawls of Jacksonville, N.C.; four sisters Pinkie L. Mikell(Eugene), Exilee R. Pelt(Andrew), and Emma L. Robinson(Bobby) all of Pembroke, Ga., Doreather Clifton(James W.) of Statesboro, Ga.; five brothers Roscoe Rawls Jr.(Josephine) of Savannah, Ga., Gordon Rawls Sr.(Arlinda), Sylvesta Dean Rawls, Oliver Rawls Sr.(Charlene), and Jerome Rawls(Brenda) all of Pembroke, Ga.; four grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday July 23, 2011 at 11am at Trinity Baptist Church, 1172 Nevils Denmark Road, Nevils, Ga., with Bishop Isaiah Brown, eulogist. Interment will be held in Bulloch Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Hwy. 80, Statesboro, Ga. Family visitations will be Friday July 22, 2011 from 7-8pm at Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel.
