Mr. Willie Henry Gilliard, age 67, of Pembroke, Ga., passed away Wednesday August 10th at the Memorial University Medical Center of Savannah, Ga. He was a Bloomingdale, Ga., native but resided in Bryan County for many years. He attended Public Schools in Bloomingdale, Ga. He retired as a construction worker with M. Smith Construction and was a member of Athens First Christ Holiness Church of Lanier, Ga. He is survived by his loving wife Mrs. Loretta Gilliard of Pembroke, Ga.; his loving children Elaine Foy, Willie Gilliard, Jr., both of Hinesville, Ga., Arthur Gilliard and Regina (Jessie, Jr.) Jones both of Philadephia, Pa., Tawanda (Lonnie) Taylor of Statesboro, Ga., Ricktavis Gilliard and Semika Warner both of Savannah, Ga., Andtron Gilliard and Lawquina Gilliard both of Pembroke, Ga.; his loving sisters Glory Ann Brown of Savannah, Ga., and Sarah Jones of Rochester, N.Y.; a loving brother Jimmy (Shirley) Mutcherson of Pembroke, Ga.; 22 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Family and friends visitations will be held Friday August 19, 2016 from 7-8pm in the chapel of Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Pembroke Chapel. Home Going Celebration for Mr. Willie Gilliard will be Saturday August 20, 2016 at 11am at the Athens First Christ Holiness Church, 215 Athens Church Road, Lanier, Ga., with Elder Marion Stewart, Officiating/Pastor. Interment will be held in Northside Cemetery, Ash Branch Road, Pembroke, Ga. Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Pembroke Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
