Mr. Steve Smith, age 45, of Ellabell, Ga., passed away peacefully on Monday morning September 1st with his family at his beside at St. Joseph Hospital in Savannah, Ga. He was Bryan County native having resided in the state of Florida for many years before returning back home. He attended the public schools of Bryan County and graduated in 1988 from Alfred E. Beach High School in Savannah, Ga., where he was a star basketball player. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Stilson, Ga. and was attending the Boyd's Temple New Order Grace Ministries of Ellabell, Ga. He is a veteran of the Florida National Guard United States Army Division. He is survived by his loving daughters Ms. Stephine A. Smith of Alaska, Ms. Briana Smith of Ellabell, Ga., and Ms. Alexis Smith of Beltone, Texas; his loving grandson Keion Smith of Alaska; his loving mother Mrs. Annie Griffin of Ellabell, Ga.; his loving sisters Ms. Elizebeth Cross and Ms. Mitzi Cross both of Ellabell, Ga.; his loving brother Mr. Craig Smith of Ellabell, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Family visitations will be Saturday September 6th from 6-8pm in the chapel of Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Pembroke Chapel. Home Going Celebration for Mr. Steve Smith will be Sunday September 7th at 2pm at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, Groveland, Ga., with Bishop C.C. Singleton, Officiating. Interment will be held in Cone Cemetery, Stilson Ga. Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Pembroke Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
