Obituary

Mr. Stanley Keel was born on January 20, 1955, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Lizetta Keel Heyward. He peacefully transitioned on Friday, May 1, 2026, at his daughter’s residence in College Park, Georgia, while under the care of Blue Summit Hospice. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Belinda Keel.

A native of Bulloch County, Georgia, Stanley later resided in Fulton County. At an early age, he joined Mount Zion A.M.E. Church, where he faithfully served on the usher board.

Stanley was educated in the Bulloch County School System and graduated with the Class of 1973. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served honorably for four years before receiving his discharge. He went on to work as a mechanic for many years until his retirement.

Stanley enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, including playing baseball, fishing, and hunting.

He leaves to cherish his memory his two daughters, Stacey L. Keel-Walker of Atlanta, Georgia, and Victoria Keel Anderson of Savannah, Georgia; one uncle, Robert (Louiser) Keel of Statesboro, Georgia; two grandchildren, Tevin Keel and Jermaine Walker, both of Savannah, Georgia; one great-granddaughter, Charlie E. Keel of Savannah, Georgia; and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026 from 6:00P.M.-7:00P.M. at Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home Statesboro Chapel, 238 West Main Street, Statesboro, GA 30458.

Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026 at 11:00A.M. at Mount Zion A.M.E Church, 10728 Georgia Hwy 24, Statesboro, GA 30461. Re. Dr. Gloria Reviere, Pastor/Presiding and Rev. Craig R. Tremble, Eulogist.

Interment will be held in the church cemetery.
