Mrs. Sophie Aiken, age 78, passed away Thursday September 25th at Candler Hospital in Savannah, Ga., after a brief illness. She is a Bulloch County native and a member of Saint Mary Independent Methodist Church of Brooklet, Ga. She retired as a nurse. She is survived by her loving husband Mr. David Aiken of Brooklet, Ga.; her loving daughter Mrs. Kathleen Frank of Lakewood, N.J.; her loving sons Mr. Willie L. Lawson(Jenny) of Metter, Ga., and Mr. Willie Zeal Lawson(Brenda) and Mr. David Bush(Kim) both of Statesboro, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends. A celebration of life services for Mrs. Sophie Aiken will be held Friday October 17th at 11am in the chapel of Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, 238 West Main Street, Statesboro, Ga., with the Rev. Craig R. Tremble, officiating. Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
