Mrs. Shirley Baldwin Harris, age 63 passed peacefully on Monday morning October 24th at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. She was a Bulloch County native. She was a 1971 graduate of the William James High School. She was a faithful member of the Hodges Grove Baptist Church and served faithfully as the first lady of the Beautiful Zion Baptist Church of Pembroke, Ga. Shirley was full of love and enjoyed her family, church family, friends and was loved by many of her family and friends. She is survived by a loving and devoted husband the Rev. Earnest Harris of Statesboro, Ga.; a loving son Savvon Baldwin of Statesboro, Ga.; her loving sisters Rev. Mattie Harris, Mrs. Gloria (Tony) Wallace, Rev. Christine (Joseph) Humphries; Mrs. Gearldine(Rev. Harry) Tremble, and Mrs. Verline (Preston) Harris all of Statesboro, Ga.; her loving brothers Mr. Bill Baldwin of Seattle, Washington, Mr. Paul Baldwin of Fort Myers, Fl., Rev. George Bush of Statesboro, Ga., and Rev. Wiley Bush of Twin City, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Viewing will be held Friday October 28, 2016 from 1-5pm at Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel. Family and Friends visitation will be held Friday October 28, 2016 from 7-8pm at the Hodges Grove Baptist Church, Miller Street Extension, Statesboro, Ga. Home Going Celebration for Mrs. Shirley Baldwin Harris will be held Saturday October 29, 2016 at 11am at the Miller Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Hwy. 24 East, Statesboro, Ga., with the Rev. Harry James Tremble, Jr., Presiding/Pastor, and the Rev. Dr. John Harmon, Officiating. Interment will be held in Bulloch Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Hwy. 80 East, Statesboro, Ga. Mrs. Shirley Harris will lie-in-state from 10am until funeral hour. Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
