Mr. Rufus Hoover Lovett Sr., age 83, passed peacefully on Thursday evening January 5th in Miami, Florida, after an extended illness. He was a Bulloch County native having resided in Miami, Florida for many years. Mr. Lovett attended the public schools of Bulloch County. He is preceded in death by his wife Mrs. Ellen Kimble Lovett of Brooklet, Ga. He is survived by six sons Mr. Eddie Lovett, Mr. Freddie Lovett, Mr. Bobby Lovett, Mr. James Hicks, Mr. Rufus Lovett Jr., and Elder Rolley Lovett all of Miami, Fla.; two daughters Mrs. Martha A. Hicks and Mrs. Mary Lovett both of Miami, Fla.; one brother Mr. Fred Lovett; two brother-in-laws Mr. Arthur(Linda) Kimble and Mr. George Kimble; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday January 14, 2012 at 2:30pm in the chapel of Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, 238 West Main Street, Statesboro, Ga. Interment will be held in Miller Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Hwy. 24, Statesboro, Ga. Viewing will be Friday January 13, 2012 from 9am until 8pm at Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel.
