Mrs. Ruby Grant Joseph, age 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning May 4th at her sister's residence in Statesboro Ga., after an extended illness. She was a Bulloch County native. She resided in New York for over 40 years where she retired as a registered nurse. She later moved to Havelock, N.C., for over 8 years before moving back to Bulloch County. She is survived by her loving sisters Ms. Pearl Grant of Statesboro, Ga., Ms. Syrena Pollard of Miami, Fl., and Mrs. Jeneatte (Jeffrey) Baker of Maryland; her loving brothers Mr. Matthew Grant of Statesboro, Ga., Mr. James (Vanessa) Grant of Atlanta, Ga., and Mr. Waldo Grant of New York; and a host of other relatives and friends. Family and friends visitations will be held Thursday May 11, 2017 from 7-8pm in the chapel of Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel. Home Going Celebration for Mrs. Ruby Grant Joseph will be held Friday May 12, 2017 at 1pm at the Second Saint John Baptist Church, Statesboro, Ga., with Rev. Craig R. Tremble, Officiating/Pastor. Interment will be held in Plain Lawn Cemetery, 279 W Old Country Road, Hicksville, N.Y. 11801. Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel & Paul Lane Funeral Home Inc., of New York are in charge of arrangements.
