Mrs. Roxie Baker, age 79, of Pembroke, Ga., passed on Sunday March 26th at Landmark Hospital of Savannah, Ga., after a brief illness. She was a Bryan County native having resided in Syracuse New York for many years, then returning to Bryan County in 2002. She retired from CNY-DSO of Syracuse New York. She was a member of Life Changing Ministry of Pembroke, Ga. She is survived by her loving daughters Mrs. Christine (Marvin) Bulloch of Pembroke, Ga., and Ms. Cynthia Lewis of Syracuse, N.Y.; her loving sons Mr. Clayton (Thersa) Edmond and Mr. Carlton Lewis both of Syracuse, N.Y.; a loving sister Mrs. Missouri (Eugene) Sharper of Atlanta, Ga., and Mrs. Mary Muldrow of Enterprise, Fl.; a loving brother-in-law Mr. Alton Martin Sr., of Hinesville, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Viewing will be held Friday March 31, 2017 from 11am until funeral hour at the Old Bryan County Elementary School Gymnasium, 104 Ash Branch Road, Pembroke, Ga. Home Going Celebration for Mrs. Roxie Baker will be held Friday March 31, 2017 at 1pm at the Old Bryan County Elementary School Gymnasium, with the Rev. James O. Bulloch, Officiating. Interment will be held in the Northside Cemetery, Pembroke, Ga. There will be no viewing after the eulogy. Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Pembroke Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
