Mr. Robert Franklin Phillips III, age 79, passed away Thursday September 25th at Ogeechee Area Hospice Center in Statesboro, Ga. He was native of Mobile, Alabama. He attended Elm Street Church of God of Statesboro, Ga. He resided in Statesboro, Ga., for four years prior to residing in Philadelphia, PA for over 35 years. He retired as a Police Officer with the city of Philadelphia. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force having served in the Vietnam. He is survived by a loving daughter Mrs. Brenda Rich Howard(Billy) of Statesboro, Ga.; his loving sons Mr. Robert F. Phillips IV and Mr. David Phillips both of Philadelphia, Pa.; his loving sisters Mrs. Jacqueline Manuel and Mrs. Deloris Scott both of Mobile, Ala., and Mrs. Lynette Avant(Dave) of Brewton, Ala.; his loving brother Mr. Ledell Manuel II of Mobile, Ala.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Viewing will be held Thursday October 2nd at Elm Street Church of God, Elm Street, Statesboro from 10-11am. Home Going Celebration for Mr. Robert Franklin Phillips III will be Thursday October 2nd at 11am at Elm Street Church of God, Elm Street, Statesboro, Ga., with the Pastor Alexander Smith, officiating. Interment will be held in Mount Nebo Cemetery in Citronelle, Alabama. The family wishes to thank Ogeechee Area Hospice for there professional and caring support. Craig R.
