Mr. Roace Parks, age 66, passed on Wednesday July 4th after a long illness at the Rockdale Medical Center in Conyers, Ga. He was a Bulloch County native, but resided in Philadelphia for many years. In the year of 2009, he later moved to Conyers, Ga. He was a 1967 graduate of William James High School and a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He is a retired Contractor and was a member of the Second Saint John Missionary Baptist Church of Statesboro, Ga. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Susan Parks of Conyers, Ga.; a daughter Mrs. Erica(Spencer) Murray of Conyers, Ga.; three sisters Mrs. Geraldine(Thomas) Williams, Mrs. Minnie Bell(Carlis) Platt, and Mrs. Onedia Smith all of Statesboro, Ga.; a brother Mr. Sam Otis(Virginia) Parks of Philadelphia, PA.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Thursday July 12, 2012 at 11am at the Second St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Hwy. 67, Statesboro, Ga., with the Rev. Frankie Lee Owens, Jr., eulogist and the Pastor Craig R. Tremble, presiding. Interment will be held in the Bulloch Memorial Gardens, Hwy. 80 East, Statesboro, Ga. Family visitations will be Thursday July 12, 2012 from 10-11am at the Second St. John Missionary Baptist Church. Viewing will be Wednesday July 11, 2012 from 5-8pm at Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel.
