Rev. Josephine Sweet, age 57, passed peacefully away on Saturday morning October 24, 2015 at her residence under the professional care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. She was a Chatham County native, but resided in Bulloch County for many years. She was a 1976 graduate of Alfred Ely Beach High School of Savannah, Ga. She worked as a Barber Stylist until her health failed. She was the Associate Minister of Thomas Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Statesboro, Ga. She is survived by her loving children Victoria Sweet of Statesboro, Ga., and Silee Williams of Atlanta, Ga.; her loving sisters Rev. Bernice Early and Mrs. Arthur Mae Lewis both of Savannah, Ga., and Mrs. Mildred Hughes(James) of Statesboro, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Family and friends visitations will be Friday October 30, 2015 from 7-8pm in the chapel of Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel. Home Going Celebration for Rev. Josephine Sweet will be held Saturday October 31, 2015 at 11am at the Thomas Grove Missionary Baptist Church, East Olliff Street, Statesboro, Ga., with the Rev. Mary Frances Odum-Lee, Presiding/Pastor, and the Minister Silee Williams, Eulogist. Interment will be held in the Eastside Cemetery, East Olliff Street, Statesboro, Ga. Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
