Rev. Albertha Bertha Porter, age 88, of Pembroke, Ga., passed away peacefully Monday May 13th at the Ogeechee Area Hospice after an extended illness. She was a Bryan County native and a member of the House of God in Pembroke, Ga. She is survived by her daughters Mary Ruth Bellamy and Ola Mae Palmer(Ivey) both of Claxton, Ga., Viola Mercer(Troy) of Nevils, Ga., Annie Ruthie Fields(Jessie), Rutha Mae George(Sholom), Robbie Murray Bing(Bill), Patricia Cannady(Charlie), and Collatta Fields all of Pembroke, Ga., and Emma Jean Campbell(Anthony) of Black Creek, Ga.; her sons Larry Charles Fields(Emily) of Cleveland, Tenn., Lyman Fields(Carlene) and Ronald Fields(Debbie) both of Pembroke, Ga., and Raymond Fields of Savannah, Ga.; her sister Rena Mae Singleton of Philadelphia, PA.; her brother Zaray Hodges Jr. of Hinesville, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Family visitations will be Saturday May 18th from 6-8pm at The House of God Church, Pembroke, Ga. Funeral services for Rev. Albertha Bertha Porter will be Sunday May 19th at 3:30pm at The House of God Church, Pembroke, Ga., with Bishop C. Butler, Officiating. Interment will be held in Beautiful Zion Church Cemetery, Pembroke Ga. Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Pembroke Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
