Obituary

Mr. Reginald Otis Brown, age 64, passed on Tuesday November 22nd at St. Joseph Hospital in Savannah, Ga., after a brief illness. He was a native of Norfolk, Virginia but resided in Bryan County for over twenty years. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served as a Staff Sergeant. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was a merchant marine for about 25 years. He was head Chef at the 3rd Infantry Division NCO Academy in Fort Stewart Ga., until his health failed him. He had a great love for cooking and culinary arts. He was a member of the Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church of Pembroke, Ga. He is survived by his wife of 30 years Mrs. Diann Miller Brown of Pembroke, Ga.; six daughters Adrienne Brown, Regina Brown, Gwendolyn Brown all of Virginia Beach, Tasha Brown of Dayton, Ohio, Ashley Brown(Kasier) Randall of Savannah, Ga., and Natasha Miller(Nathan) Shuman of Pembroke, Ga.; his mother Gertrude Dyson and Step-father Carl Dyson Sr. both of Norfolk, Va.; a sister Bolivia Brown of Virginia Beach; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday November 26, 2011 at noon at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, Pembroke, Ga., with Pastor Francys Johnson, eulogist. Interment will be held in Norfolk, Virginia.
