Mrs. Rebecca Hendrix, age 99, passed peacefully away on Saturday morning September 5th at her residence in Atlanta, Ga., under the professional care of Hospice Advantage of Fayetteville, Ga. She was a Candler County native, but resided in Atlanta, Ga., for many years. She was a member of the Flipper Temple A.M.E Church of Atlanta, Ga. She was a former member of the Greater Bethel A.M.E Church of Statesboro, Ga., before moving to Atlanta, Ga. She is survived by her loving children Mr. Jim Hendrix(Lorna) of Niceville, Fl., Mr. King Hendrix(Mary) of Forest Park, Ga., and Ms. Mary Hendrix of Atlanta, Ga.; a loving step-son Mr. Samuel Jordan(Leanna) of Statesboro, Ga.; a loving daughter-in-law Mrs. Louise Hendrix of Statesboro, Ga.; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Public viewing for Mrs. Rebecca Hendrix will be Thursday September 10, 2015 from 2-8pm at Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel. Home Going Celebration for Mrs. Rebecca Hendrix will be Friday September 11, 2015 at 1pm at Greater Bethel A.M.E Church, 3 Peachtree Street, Statesboro, Ga., with the Rev. Julius Abraham, Presiding, the Rev. Augusta H. Hall, Eulogist, and the Rev. Soloman Roberts, Pastor. Interment will be held in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery, Pulaski, Ga. Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
