Mrs. Queen Ester Mincey, age 88, passed peacefully away on Friday evening March 4th after extended illness at Ogeechee Area Hospice. She was a Bulloch County native and a member of Springhill Missionary Baptist Church. She retired after 34 years as a Dietary Assistant with Willingway Hospital. She is survived by her loving daughters Carolyn (Billy Ray) Alston of Winston Salem, N.C., Alice Faye Taylor of Lithonia, Ga.; Emma Jean McCrary, Josephine (Earl) Anderson, and Annette Mincey all of Statesboro, Ga.; Jacqueline (Walter) Hill of Boston, Mass., Doris Henry of Los Angeles, CA., and Sally Lynn Mincey of Dorchester, Mass.; her loving sons Lester (Augusta) Mincey Jr. of Lithonia, Ga., and Steven Mincey of Macon, Ga.; her loving sisters Mrs. Mary E. Byrd and Mrs. Alzenia Mosley of Statesboro, Ga.; her loving brothers Mr. Thomas Williams of Statesboro, Ga., and Mr. Claude Williams of Atlanta, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Family visitations will be held Friday March 11, 2016 from 7-8pm in the chapel of Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel. Home Going Celebration for Mrs. Queen Ester Mincey will be held Saturday March 12, 2016 at 2pm at the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Register, Ga., with the Rev. Delmus White, Presiding and the Pastor Gregory Thomas, Eulogist/Pastor. Interment will be held in Church Cemetery. Mrs. Queen Mincey will lie-in-state from 1pm until funeral hour. There will be no viewing after eulogy. Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
