Ms. Polly Dukes Grant, age 63, passed on Sunday May 27th after an extended illness in Collins, Ga., under the professional care of Community Hospice. She was Bulloch County native but resided in Tattnall County for many years. She attended the William James High School and was a member of Cypress Bay Baptist Church of Lanier, Ga. She is survived by her husband Mr. Tyler Scott of Collins, Ga.; four daughters Ms. Tonya Everett and Ms. Natasha LeGrant both of Statesboro, Ga., Ms. Latika LeGrant of Collins, Ga., and Ms. Kesha Swinson of Metter, Ga.; a son Mr. Willie LeGrant of Texas; five sisters Mrs. Flora Rodgers of Savannah, Ga., Mrs. Janet Cross, Ms. Lonnie Dukes, Mrs. Sharon Miller, and Ms. Deloris Dukes all of Statesboro, Ga.; three brothers Mr. Landers Dukes of Brooklet, Ga., Mr. Jeffery Dukes of Columbus, Ga., and Mr. Dionne Dukes of Atlanta, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be Saturday June 2, 2012 at noon in Bulloch Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Hwy 80, Statesboro, Ga., with Rev. Samuel Watkins, eulogist. Family visitations will be Friday June 1, 2012 from 7-8pm at Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel.
