Mrs. Peggy Gardner Kollars, age 45, passed away into eternal rest on Monday March 16th at East Georgia Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Louisville, Kentucky, but resided in Statesboro since 2007. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Statesboro and was employed as a teacher with Bible Baptist Christian Academy of Statesboro. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Georgetown College of Kentucky and a Master degree in Biology from the University of Memphis, Tenn. She loved Jesus Christ and she was very determined to tell others about Him. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Dr. Thomas Kollars Jr. of Statesboro, Ga.; her loving children Kara Hall(Chuck), Jason Kollars, Eric Kollars, Kathryn Katie Kollars, and Lillie Kollars all of Statesboro, Ga.; a loving brother Robert Gardner of Louisville, Kentucky; and a host of other relatives and friends. Family and friends visitation will be Thursday March 19th from 6:30-8pm in the chapel of Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel. Home Going Services for Mrs. Peggy Kollars will be Friday March 20th at 11am at Bible Baptist Church, 889 Hwy. 24, Statesboro, Ga., with Pastor Jon Edmisten, Officiating. Interment will be held in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Glennville, Ga. Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
