Mrs. Ouida Parks Smith, age 71, passed peacefully away at East Georgia Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. She was a Bulloch County native and a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church. She is survived by her loving husband Mr. Mike Smith of Portal, Ga.; her loving daughter Mrs. Mary Byrd of Statesboro, Ga.; her loving son Mr. Larry Parks of Statesboro, Ga.; her loving sisters Mrs. Minnie Platt(Carlis) of Nevils, Ga., and Mrs. Geraldine Williams(Thomas) of Statesboro, Ga.; her loving brother Mr. Sam Otis Parks(Virginia) of Philadelphia, Pa.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Viewing for Mrs. Ouida Parks Smith will be Friday January 24th from 12-8pm at Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel. Home going celebration for Mrs. Ouida Smith will be Saturday January 25th at 1pm at Piney Grove Baptist Church, Denmark, with Pastor Morris Reddick, Officiating. Interment will be held in Church Cemetery. Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
