Mother Inez Smith Martin, age 87, passed peacefully away on Saturday November 21st at East Georgia Regional Medical Center. She was a Bulloch County native. She was a member of the Miller Grove Baptist Church where she served as church mother, a Deaconess, and sung in the church choir until her health failed. She was a member of the Cape Jessamine Chapter #86 Order of Eastern Star for over 50 years. She is preceded in death by her husband Deacon Wilmart Martin. She is survived by her loving children Mr. Roosevelt (Marolyn) Martin and Mrs. Sherry (Frederick) Thompson, and Mr. Wilmart Martin Jr. all of Statesboro, Ga., Mr. Stanley (Paulette) Martin of Alexandria, VA., and Mrs. Linda Golden of Sylvania, Ga.; fourteen grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Family and friends visitation will be held Monday November 23, 2015 from 6-7pm in the chapel of Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel. Home Going celebration for Mother Inez Martin will be held Tuesday November 24, 2015 at 11am at the Miller Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Hwy. 24 East, Statesboro, Ga., with the Minister Christopher Martin, Presiding and the Pastor Harry James Tremble, Jr., Eulogist. Interment will be held in Church Cemetery. Mother Inez Martin will lie-in-state from 10am until funeral hour. There will be no viewing after eulogy. Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
