Mrs. Mary Hines Owens, age 60, of Port Wentworth, Ga., passed peacefully away on Wednesday October 14th at 6:30am at Hospice Savannah Inc, of Savannah, Ga., after an extended illness. She was a Bryan County native and a 1973 graduate of Bryan County High School of Pembroke, Ga. She is survived by her loving husband Mr. Tom Owens of Port Wentworth, Ga.; her loving children Tyesha Owens and Syan Owens both of Hinesville, Ga., Travis McCoy of Savannah, Ga., and Andreas Owens of Fort Riley, Kansas; a loving mother Mrs. Minnie Hines of Pembroke, Ga.; her loving siblings Christine Carter(William) of Goldsboro, N.C., Julian H. Hines(Stacey), Cherie Simmons(Jeff), and Wayne Hines(Stephanie) all of Pembroke, Ga., Patricia George of Texarkana, TX, Stephanie Darby(Loyd) of Savannah, Ga., and Devada Hines(Lavette) of Lanier, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Home Going Celebration for Mrs. Mary Hines Owens will be held Monday October 19, 2015 at 1pm at First Baptist Church of Pembroke, 169 Church Street, Pembroke, Ga., with the Rev. Larry Gibbons, Officiating and Dr. Bradley S. Butler, Senior Pastor. Interment will be held in Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Groveland, Ga. The family requested that there will be no viewing. Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Pembroke Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
