Obituary

Mrs. Martha Lovett Parker age 63, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday July 18th at her residence, under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. She was a Screven County native, but resided in Bulloch County for many years. She was a member of the Johnson Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Portal, Georgia. She graduated from William James High School Class of 1968. She attended Fort Valley State College (now known as Fort Valley State University). She was a retired employee of First Transit Authority as a bus driver. She enjoyed shopping, spending time with her family, traveling and having lots of fun. She is survived by her daughter Mrs. Debra (Darrell) Harris of Statesboro, GA. Four sisters, Mrs. Ann (Martan) Kemp of Everton, New Jersey, Mrs. Mamie (Willie) Sconiers of Newnan, GA, Mrs. Sara Lovett (Earl) Bynes of Barnsville, GA and Mrs. Linda (Freddie) Jenkins of Hardeeville, SC. Three brothers, Mr. Bobby (Arliesha) Lovett, Mr. John Lovett, both of Portal, GA , and Mr. Willie (Ann) Lovett of Garfield, GA, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 11:00 am at Johnson Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. John C. Newkirt pastor/eulogist. Interment will be held in the Bulloch Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Parker will lie-in- state at the church from 10:00 - 11:00 am. There will be no viewing after the eulogy. Professional service of comfort are entrusted to the care of Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home Statesboro Chapel.
