Marion People, age 68, of Statesboro, GA, peacefully transitioned on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at East Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness.

She was a native of Newark, NJ, but resided in Statesboro, GA, since 2007. She was a member of the City of David Worship Assembly of Statesboro, GA.

She is survived by her husband, Edward People, of Statesboro, GA; three children: Tanika People of Newark, NJ, Demetrius Peoples of Trenton, NJ, and Khadijah People of Statesboro, GA; sisters, Jackie (Willie) Mallett of Elizabeth, NJ, Barbara Berry of Patterson, NJ, Ursula Buckmin of Statesboro, GA, Ellen Haynes, Carol Harrison and Janete Harrison all of Newark, NJ; brothers, Jameil Harrison and Bobby Harrison both of Newark, NJ, and a host of other relatives and friends.
