Obituary

Mother Lillie Mae Smith of Brooklet, Ga., age 82, passed peacefully away Monday March 17th at East Georgia Regional Medical Center after a short illness. She was a Bulloch County native. She retired as a cook for Jolly Joe's Restaurant. She was a faithful member of the Jerusalem A.M.E Church of Leefield, Ga., where she served as a Church Mother, a Missionary, and formed the Willing Worker's Club. She enjoyed being with her family, her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She is survived by her loving daughters Mrs. Thelma Dubois(Ronald) of Jacksonville, Fl., Mrs. Bobbie Jean Thompson of Statesboro, Ga., Mrs. Addie Sandifer(Billy) of Nevils, Ga., Ms. Serena Smith and Ms. Renea Smith both of Brooklet, Ga.; her loving sons Mr. Kenneth Johnson(Diane) of Statesboro, Ga., and Mr. Milton Smith of Brooklet, Ga.; her loving sister Mrs. Mae Lizze Smith of Brooklet, Ga.; her loving brothers Mr. Ray Johnson of Tampa, Fl., Mr. Eugene Johnson(Frances) and Mr. R.J. Johnson both Statesboro, Ga., and Mr. Brantley Johnson of Brooklet, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Family visitations will be Friday March 21st from 6-8pm in the chapel of Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel. Home Going Celebration for Mother Lillie Mae Smith will be Saturday March 22nd at 1pm at Miller Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Hwy. 24 East, Statesboro, Ga., with the Rev. Anthony Scott, Officiating and the Rev. Harry James Tremble, Jr., Pastor. Interment will be held in Jerusalem A.M.E Church Cemetery, Leefield. Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
