Mrs. Letha Mae Porter Lawson, age 94 of Pembroke, Ga., passed peacefully away on Thursday March 23rd at Bryan County Health and Rehabilitation of Richmond Hill, Ga., under the care of Hospice of Savannah. She was a Bulloch County native but resided in Bryan County for many years. She was a member of the Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church of Pembroke, Ga. She is survived by her loving daughters Mrs. Shirley Young, Mrs. Mae (Elder Marion) Stewart, and Mrs. Martha (Van) Redcross all of Pembroke, Ga.; her loving sons Mr. Willie A. Lawson and Mr. John Henry Lawson, Jr. both of Reidsville, Ga.; a loving sister Mrs. Mary Alice Williams of Claxton, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Family and friends visitations will be held Friday March 31, 2017 from 6-7pm in the chapel of Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Pembroke Chapel. Home Going Celebration for Mrs. Letha Mae Lawson will be held Saturday April 1, 2017 at 11am at the Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, 244 Jerusalem Church Road, Groveland, with Pastor Victor Brewton, Presiding/Pastor, and the Rev. Dr. Francys Johnson, Eulogist. Interment will be held in the Northside Cemetery, Pembroke, Ga. Mrs. Letha Mae Lawson will lie-in-state from 10am until funeral hour. There will be no viewing after eulogy. Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Pembroke Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
