Mrs. Lessie Hunter, age 85, of Pembroke, Ga., passed peacefully away on Wednesday August 6th at 7:47pm at the Signature Healthcare of Savannah in Savannah, Ga., under the care of Hospice Savannah. She was a Bryan County native but resided in Chatham County. She was a member of the Miles Branch Baptist Church of Blitchton, Ga. She is survived by her loving son Mr. Rodney Roberson(Marva) of Pooler, Ga.; her loving sisters Mrs. Emma Bowens Jenkins and Mrs. Betty Bowens Clemons both of Pembroke, Ga.; a loving brother Mr. Ivory Bowens(Jan) of Groveland, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Family visitations will be Friday August 15th from 7-8pm in the chapel of Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Pembroke Chapel. Home Going Celebration for Mrs. Lessie Hunter will be Saturday August 16th at 1pm at Miles Branch Baptist Church, Blitchton, Ga., with the Rev. Craig R. Tremble, Officiating. Interment will be held in Church Cemetery. Mrs. Lessie Hunter will lie-in-state from 12pm until funeral hour, there will be no viewing after eulogy. Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Pembroke Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
