Mrs. Katie Victoria Moffett, age 96, passed peacefully on Friday July 27th at Heritage Inn Health and Rehabilitation Facility after a brief illness. She was a Bulloch County native having resided in Chatham County for many years. She returned to Bulloch County in February of this year. She retired as a House Manager with the Worrell Family of Savannah, Ga. She was a longtime member of the Conner's Temple Baptist Church in Savannah, Ga. She is survived by her caregiver and granddaughter Mrs. Judy(Tony) Connely of Statesboro, Ga.; a step-daughter Ms. Robbie Lee Rock of Register, Ga.; two special nephews Mr. Leon(Gail) Pendegrass of Savannah, Ga., and Mr. Johnnie Moffett of Augusta, Ga.; and a host of other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be Friday August 3, 2012 at 11am at Piney Grove Baptist Church, 1579 Bragan Road, Statesboro, Ga., with the Rev. Harry J. Tremble, Jr., eulogist and the Rev. Morris Reddick, Pastor. Interment will be held in Church Cemetery. Viewing will be Thursday August 2, 2012 from 1-8pm at Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel.
