Deacon Johnny Lee Washington, age 65, passed into eternal rest on Saturday evening February 8th at Evans Memorial Hospital in Claxton, Ga. He was a Bulloch County native and a member of the Hodges Grove Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon and enjoyed singing in the Church Choir. He is survived by his loving wife Mrs. Annie Washington of Statesboro, Ga.; his loving daughters Ms. Tammy Washington, Ms. Teresa Washington, and Ms. Kim Washington all of Statesboro, Ga.; his loving sons Mr. Rick Washington(Demetra), Mr. Gary Washington(Nicole), Mr. Michael Washington, and Rev. Ronnie Washington(Pastor JoAnn) all of Statesboro, Ga.; his loving sisters Ms. Evelyn Williams and Ms. Roberta Wallace both of Statesboro, Ga.; his loving brothers Mr. David Washington(Leola) and Mr. Clinton Washington both of Statesboro, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Viewing for Deacon Johnny Lee Washington will be Friday February 14th from 12-8pm at Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel. Home Going Celebration for Deacon Johnny Lee Washington will be Saturday February 15th at 12pm at Hodges Grove Baptist Church, Miller Street Extension, Statesboro, Ga., with Rev. Dr. John Harmon, Pastor/Officiating. Interment will be held in Eastside Cemetery, East Oliff Street, Statesboro, Ga. Deacon Johnny Lee Washington will lie-in-state from 11am until funeral hour, there will be no viewing after eulogy. Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
