Mr. John R' Wesley Thompson, age 85, passed peacefully away Saturday January 4th at East Georgia Regional Medical Center with his family by his bedside. At an early age he joined the Piney Grove Baptist Church and he worked as a well driller for 54 years for Mr. Jack Brannen and the Anderson Brothers. He is survived by his loving wife Mary Lee Thompson of Brooklet, Ga.; his loving daughters Annette Eason(Johnny) and Jeannette Houston both of Statesboro, Ga., Annie Weaver(Lee) of Collins, Ga., and Betty Mikell(Walter) of Brooklet, Ga.; his loving sons John P. Thompson(Vickie) of Statesboro, Ga., Rickey Houston of Conyers, Ga., Vic Thompson(Robin) of Stilson, Ga., and Eddie Floyd Thompson(Jan) of Pensacola, Fl.; his loving sister Almaritta T. Brown(Lloyd) of Hagin, Ga.; his loving brothers James Wilbert Thompson of Glennville, Ga., Earl Thompson(Joyce) of St. Petersburg, Fl., Emmanuel Thompson(Margaret) and George Thompson(Arabell) both of Statesboro, Ga.; and Rudolph Thompson(Beulah) of Utica, New York; and a host of other relatives and friends. Family visitations will be Friday January 10th from 7-8pm in the chapel of Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel. Home going celebration for Mr. John R' Wesley Thompson will be Saturday January 11th at 2pm at Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Denmark, with Pastor Morris Reddick, Presiding and the Minister Andrew Johnson, Eulogist. Interment will be held in Church Cemetery. Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
