Mrs. Jimmie Lee Smith, age 71, passed peacefully on Friday December 16th at Heritage Inn Rehabilitation Center of Statesboro, Ga. She was a Bulloch County native and was retired from Georgia Southern College(now known as Georgia Southern University). She was a member of the Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by a loving daughter Ms. Virginia Smith of Statesboro, Ga.; her loving sons Mr. David (Juliet) Smith of Register, Ga., and Mr. Phillip (Dorothy) Smith of Statesboro, Ga.; her loving sisters Mrs. Diane (Kenneth) Johnson of Statesboro, Ga., and Mrs. Lorrine (Robert) Littles of Rogerville, Tenn., Catherine (Donald) Washington of Oceanside, California; a loving brother Mr. James Willie (Elizebeth) Smith of Statesboro, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Family and friends visitations will be held Thursday December 22, 2016 from 7-8pm in the chapel of Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel. Home Going Celebration for Mrs. Jimmie Lee Smith will be held Friday December 23, 2016 at 11am at the Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1579 Bragan Road, Statesboro, Ga., with the Rev. Morris Reddick, Officiating/Pastor. Interment will be held in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery, 98 Harmony Church Road, Statesboro, Ga. Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
