Mrs. Janie Reed Hodge, age 72, passed away on June 6th in Decatur, Ga. She was a native of Brooklet, Ga., but resided in Decatur, Ga., for over 40 years. She was a member of the Jerusalem A.M.E Church of Leefield Community and retired from Marshall Distribution Center. She is survived by her loving husband Mr. Henry Hodge of Decatur, Ga.; her loving sisters Ms. Shirley Reed of Atlanta, Ga., and Ms. Debra Reed of Oliver, Ga.; her loving brothers Mr. Johnny Reed and Mr. Henry L. Reed both of Brooklet, Ga., and Mr. Reggie Reed of Greenville, N.C.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Home Going Celebration for Mrs. Janie Reed Hodge will be held Saturday June 10, 2017 at 2:30pm at the Original First African Baptist Church, 545 Westside Road, Statesboro, Ga., with the Rev. Frankie Owens, Officiating/Pastor. Interment will be held in Mt. Zion A.M.E Church Cemetery, Hwy. 24 East, Statesboro, Ga. Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel & Donald Trimble Mortuary, Decatur, Ga., are in charge of arrangements.
