Mr. Hurbert Henry, age 87, passed away on Tuesday June 6th at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. He was a Candler County native, but resided in New York for many years before returning to Bulloch County. He retired from ITT Grinnell Corporation and was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church of Register, Ga. He was part owner of Jerry's Convenience Store in Statesboro, Ga. He is survived by his loving ex-wife Mrs. Dorothy Henry Sarratt of Statesboro, Ga.; his loving children Ms. Linda Henry, Mr. Danny Henry, and Mr. Jerry Washington all of Statesboro, Ga., Ms. Caretha Henry Mikell of Melbourn, Fl., and Ms. Lorraine Henry of Bronx, N.Y.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Family and friends vistations will be held Thursday June 15, 2017 from 7-8pm in the chapel of Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel. Home Going Celebration for Mr. Hurbert Henry will be held Friday June 16, 2017 at 11am at the New Hope Baptist Church, 6790 Kennedy Bridge Road, Register, Ga., with the Rev. Craig R. Tremble, Officiating and the Rev. Gregory Thomas, Pastor. Interment will be held in the New Bethelham Baptist Church, Register, Ga. Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
