Mr. Herbert Williams Sr., age 70, passed away on Tuesday August 2nd at Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center of Augusta, Ga., after an extended illness. He was a Bulloch County native and a member of St. Mary's Baptist Church. He was a Veteran of the United States Army where he served in the Vietnam War. He was an self-employed concrete finisher. He is survived by his loving wife Mrs. Virginia Williams of Statesboro, Ga.; a loving daughter Pastor Lerushia (Jimmy) Alston of Register, Ga.; his loving sons Herbert Andrew Williams Jr., and Joe Wilkerson both of Atlanta, Ga., Harold Parrish, Al Green, Lamarcus Green, and Norton Green all of Statesboro, Ga.; his loving brothers Richard (Louella) Williams and Nathaniel Skip (Linda) Williams both of Statesboro, Ga.; a host of grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Viewing for Mr. Herbert Williams Sr., will be held Monday August 8, 2016 from 1-8pm at the Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel. Home Going Celebration for Mr. Herbert Williams Sr., will be Tuesday August 9, 2016 at 11am at the Johnson Grove Baptist Church, 149 Oak Grove Church Road, Portal, Ga., with the Rev. Craig R. Tremble, Officiating. Interment will be held in Church Cemetery with full military honors. Mr. Herbert Williams Sr., will lie-in-state from 10am until funeral hour. There will be no viewing after eulogy. Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
