Mr. Harold King, age 71, passed away Wednesday August 15th at his residence in Valdosta, Ga. He was a Bulloch County native, but resided in Valdosta, Ga., for over 20 years. He was a 1961 graduate of the William James High School. He retired as a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp after 20 years of service. He is the son of the late George and Annie King of Statesboro, Ga. He is survived by a son Mr. Christopher King of Jacksonville, N.C.; three sisters Mrs. Louise Hendrix of Statesboro, Ga., Ms. Elizabeth King of Savannah, Ga., and Mrs. Clara Hines of Patterson, N.J.; a brother Mr. Harry King of Patterson, N.J.; a close friend Ms. Barbara Asbell of Valdosta, Ga.; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday August 22, 2012 at 1pm in the Chapel of Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro, Ga., with the Rev. Julius Abraham, officiating. Interment will be held in the Mt. Zion A.M.E Church Cemetery. Viewing will be Tuesday August 21, 2012 from 2-8pm at Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel.
