Mrs. Hannah Stowbridge Williams, age 87, passed peacefully away on Thursday morning August 13th at her residence under the professional care of Gentiva Hospice of Savannah, Ga. She was an Emanuel County native, but resided in Bulloch County for many years. She was a member of Banks Creek Primitive Baptist Church of Portal, where she diligently worked on the Women's Mission and the Kitchen Committee until her health declined. Hannah loved cooking and fulfilled multiple roles during her working years and never failed to do what was needed to address the needs of her family. She will be remembered by her loving children Mr. John Edward Williams, Ms. Irene Williams, and Mr. James Earl Williams(Kimberly) all of Statesboro, Ga.; her loving grandchildren Natessa Williams(Huey), Jamicia Warren(Zeb) and Jonavin Williams(Jackie) all of Statesboro, Ga.; her loving great grandchildren Akela, Kaylin, Alea, Kolbi, and Avery all of Portal, Ga.; her loving brothers Mr. Lonnie Stowbrige and Mr. Amos Stowbrige(Mary Ann) both of Statesboro, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Viewing for Mrs. Hannah Williams will be Sunday August 16, 2015 from 2pm-8pm at Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel. Home Going Celebration for Mrs. Hannah Williams will be held Monday August 17, 2015 at 11am at the Banks Creek Primitive Baptist Church, Portal, Ga., with the Rev. Anthony Maxwell, Presiding and the Elder Joseph Mosley, Eulogist/Pastor. Interment will be held in Munlin Cemetery, Portal, Ga. Mrs. Hannah Williams will lie-in-state from 10am until funeral hour, there will be no viewing after eulogy. Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
