Mr. Gregory Holmes, Sr., age 52, passed into eternal rest on Sunday morning June 26th at St. Joseph/Candler Hospital in Savannah, Ga., after an extended illness. He was a Bulloch County native, but resided in Ludowici, Ga., for many years. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a 1977 graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School. He was a dedicated member of Statesboro Deliverance Church of Statesboro, Ga. He was employed as a construction worker with Griffin Construction Company of Savannah, Ga. He is survived by a devoted wife Mrs. Inez Moore Holmes of Ludowici, Ga.; four children Kishala Lashawnda Holmes, Daffaney Holmes, Gentara Holmes, and Gregory Holmes, Jr.; his mother Mrs. Dorothy Williams of Savannah, Ga.; one sister Mrs. Robin Holmes(Jerry) Lanier of Statesboro, Ga.; one brother Mr. Steve Holmes of Savannah, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Celebration of Life services will be Saturday July 2, 2011 at 11am at United Fellowship Worship Center(formerly Snella's Place), 17C Allen Circle, Statesboro, Ga., with Rev. Melvin Williams officiating and Pastor Brock Taylor, Presiding.
