George Gordon Jr. Obituary Mr. George Gordon Jr., age 68, passed away Monday February 5th at the Westwood Nursing Home of Statesboro, Ga., under the professional care of Kindred Hospice of Statesboro. He was a Screven County native, but resided in Bulloch County for many years. He was a 1968 graduate of the William James High School. He was a member of the Simmons Branch Baptist Church of Sylvania, Ga. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Vietnam War. He is survived by a loving son Nicholas Gordon of Marietta, Ga.; a loving sister Ms. Gerri Allen of Statesboro, Ga.; his loving brothers Minister Charles(Letha) Gordon of Savannah, Ga., and Minister James R.(Ellen) Gordon of Decatur, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Viewing will be held Thursday February 8, 2018 from 2-7pm at the Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel. Home Going Celebration for Mr. George Gordon Jr., will be held Friday February 9, 2018 at 11am in the chapel of Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, 238 West Main Street, Statesboro, with Rev. Joe Herrington, Officiating. Interment will be held in Simmons Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, Sylvania, Ga., with full military honors. Craig R.
