. Eugene Sharper, age 87, of Pembroke, Ga., passed on Sunday August 6th at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Ga. He was a native of Charleston, S.C. He resided in Syracuse, N.Y. from 1960 until 1994. He later moved to Pembroke, Ga., in 2010 and later moved to Marietta, Ga. He retired from NASTRI Automotive of Syracuse, N.Y. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and the United StatesNavy having served in the Korean War. He was a member of St. John A.M.E Church of Pembroke, Ga. He is survived by his loving daughters Mrs. Alberta Sharper (Bill) Johnson and Mrs. Jacelyn Sharper both of Atlanta, Ga., Mrs. Shelley (William) Robinson of Syracuse, N.Y.; a loving son Mr. Dorsey (Sophia) Williams of Liverpool, N.Y.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Family and friends visitations will be held Sunday August 13, 2017 from 5-7pm in the chapel of Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Pembroke Chapel. Home Going Celebration for Mr. Eugene Sharper will be held Monday August 14, 2017 at 11am at the St. John A.M.E Church, 251 Benton Street, Pembroke, Ga., with Rev. Rodney Reddy, Officiating/Pastor. Interment will be held in Stevens Grove Cemetery, Hwy. 119, Pembroke, Ga., with full military honors. Mr. Eugene Sharper will lie-in-state from 10am until funeral hour.
