Mr. Emory Perkins, Sr., age 66, passed away peacefully of Friday morning August 7th at his residence after an extended illness. He was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Perkins Sr. He was a Bulloch County native and a self-employed cement finisher. He was a 1971 graduate of William James High School. He is preceded in death by his sister Shirley Perkins Mikell; his brother Jesse Perkins Jr. and George Perkins Sr. He is survived by his loving children Mrs. Emily Maldonado(Hector) of Warner Robbins, Ga., Mr. Emory Perkins Jr.(Jocelyn) of Clarksville, Tenn., Mr. Gregory Bradford Perkins, Mr. James Mikell Perkins, Mr. William O'neal Perkins, Mr. Lorenzo Mikell, and Mr. Kelvin Mercer(Melissa) all of Statesboro, Ga.; his loving sisters Mrs. Glinis Pierce of Statesboro, Ga., Ms. Ada Williams, Mrs. Annette Denson(Graylon), Ms. Deloris Jackson, Ms. Sherbie Jean Perkins, and Mrs. Geraldine Roberson(Thomas) all of Nevils, Ga., Mrs. Willie Mae Arscott(Fred) of Jacksonville, Fl., and Ms. Mary Hardy of Connecticut.; his loving brothers Mr. Burnice Perkins(Vernita), Mr. Melvin Perkins(Annie Will), and Mr. Eddie James Perkins all of Nevils, Ga., Mr. Ivory Perkins(Annette) of Statesboro, Ga., and Mr. J.W. Perkins(Gloria) of Boynton Beach, Fl.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Family and friends visitations for Mr. Emory Perkins Sr. will be Friday August 14, 2015 from 7-8pm in the chapel of Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel. Home Going Celebration for Mr. Emory Perkins Sr. will be held Saturday August 15, 2015 at 12pm at New Corinth Baptist Church, Nevils, Ga., with the Rev. Daniel Foster III, Officiating/Pastor. Interment will be held in Bulloch Memorial Gardens, Hwy. 80 East, Statesboro, Ga. Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
