Mr. Edward Smith, age 57, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 3rd. He was a Bulloch County native. Mr. Smith was employed by CarQuest. He was a 1977 graduate of Statesboro High School. He was a faithful member of First Assembly of God of Statesboro, Georgia. Mr. Smith was a kind and gentle, soft-spoken man. He encouraged others with a quiet spirit. Mr. Smith was a true man of prayer. He loved music and the Word of God. He loved children; they always made him smile. He loved being with his brothers and family. "The Lord said to him, Well done, you good and faithful servant...Enter into the joy of the Lord"(Matthew 25:21) He is survived by a loving sister Ms. Lunell Smith of Miami, Fl.; two brothers Mr. Robert Smith of Register, Ga., and Mr. Curtis (Kumhui) Smith of Huntsville, Al.; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. A memorial service for Mr. Edward Smith will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 1:00pm at First Assembly of God Church, 302 Turner Street, Statesboro, Ga.
