Deacon Edward Ed Douglas Murchison, age 92, of Ellabell, Ga., passed peacefully away on Saturday July 19th under the care of Hospice Savannah at Bryan County Health and Rehabilitation Center of Richmond Hill, Ga. He was a Bryan County native. He retired from the Bryan County Board of Education as a Bus Driver and as a long time business man of Ellabell, Ga. He was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church of Ellabell, Ga., where he faithfully served as the chairman of the Deacon Board and was the Superintendent of the Adult Sunday School Department until his health failed. He is survived by his loving sister Ms. Frances Murchison of Richmond Hill, Ga.; his loving brother Mr. Henry Lee Murchison of Ellabell, Ga.; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Family visitations will be Thursday July 24th from 6:30-7:30pm in the chapel of Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Pembroke Chapel. Celebration of Life services for Deacon Edward Murchison will be Friday July 25th at 11am at Macedonia Baptist Church, Ellabell, Ga., with the Rev. Gilbert R. Conner, Pastor/Officiating. Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Pembroke Chapel are in charge of arrangements.
